Floral Notes is a micro market garden that grows cut flowers.

Rooted in gardening tradition, I capture the seasons' essence, selecting flowers and foliage of the moment so you can bring the outdoors inside to decorate your home with colour and scent.

I offer hand-tied bouquets and table flowers for small summer events and DIY buckets for you to arrange yourself as well as supplying florists with British grown flowers for their clients.

Where and how

Based in Great Easton, a village on the Leicestershire/ Rutland/ Northamptonshire border, I cultivate with the environment in mind. It's seasonal, delightful and air miles-free. By buying flowers from a local grower, you can reduce your carbon footprint - joyfully. Compared with supermarket blooms, my flowers sing!

Order your bouquet or posie directly by email. Please give me 48 hours notice. I pick especially for you, then fully condition the flowers for best vase life before arranging and wrapping your purchase.

Who

Gardener-cum-florist, Esther McMillan, runs the concoction that is Floral Notes Flowers.

I've a nose for a good plant and have always brought garden flowers into my home to arrange. For many years, I delved in country house gardens and flower rooms as a head gardener and a National Trust advisor. My work and writing has featured in magasines like Gardens Illustrated, Country Life and Country Living.

Nowadays I grow on a larger scale to share glorious, wondrous, romantic flowers with you too.
